What we do

Mr Scan transfers data from Iomega Zip disks to modern formats. Whether your disks were used for
photos, design work, documents, music projects, or backups, we’ll extract what’s readable and deliver your files in
their original formats wherever possible.

Supported: Zip 100MB, Zip 250MB disks & Zip 750MB disks

Delivery: Secure download (default) or USB

UK service: Post your disks to us or drop off in person (if you’re local)

Confidential handling: Your data is treated as private

How it works

  1. Send or drop off your Zip disks (label them if you can).
  2. We transfer the files from each disk using compatible readers and a controlled workflow.
  3. You receive your files via secure download (or USB on request).

If a disk is unreadable or partially readable, we’ll tell you what we could and couldn’t recover.

Common questions

Do you convert the files, or just copy them?

In most cases we copy the original files exactly as they are on the disk.
If you need specific file conversions (e.g. old project formats), mention it when you contact us and we’ll advise.

What if my Zip disk is damaged?

We’ll attempt a read and let you know the result. Some disks may be partially readable.
If there’s a widespread failure (e.g. media degradation), we’ll explain the options.

How do I label the disks?

A simple numbering system helps, e.g. ZIP-01, ZIP-02, etc.
If you know what’s on them, add a short description on a sticky label.
